PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2000 - … President of inteem! Corp. Writing and developing sophisticated entertainment and education applications that include streaming video and audio, animation, and elaborate Flash ActionScript coding. Recent projects: a seminar on information architecture; a review of streaming video; "Love Is My Sin" A two-character short play adapted from the sonnets of Shakespeare, and directed and presented at TSI/PlayTime; and "Love’s Will" classic love poetry, presented as a live theater piece on Valentine’s day. The current major project, now in beta testing, "How To Predict The Future," is a live presentation of "science theater" and an interactive presentation about forecasting, planning and predicting, covering topics as diverse as finance, science, trends in new media, and coming events. One part of this project, a blog: QPORIT – Quick PREVIEWS Of Random Interesting Things, has recently begun publishing. 1999 - 2000 Viacom

Director of software development for web projects – Managed and worked on the development of many websites for Viacom, including Comedy Central, Sundance, Showtime, MTV, Nickelodeon, and Viacom Corporate. Also worked on the design of software initiatives in e-commerce, multi-player gaming, and community services.

1996 - 1999 IBM

1983 - 1996 CONSULTING AND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Viacom Interactive Television -- Developed interactive television applications.

Hyperion (Pivotal Technologies) -- Coded C++ MFC applications for the user interface of an international consolidation accounting program.

Fannie Mae -- Performed technology assessment and design of a large distributed client/server system, as the foundation for creating a new software company for the mortgage industry.

Morgan Stanley -- Created the human factors design for the company-wide, world-wide introduction of the Common Desktop Environment (CDE) a graphical user interface on UNIX terminals.

Millennium Auction -- Invented, developed and sold a multimedia, multiplayer CD-ROM game -- rated among the best of 94 by PC Magazine, PC World, Games and other magazines; created the game prototype; built the creative team and supervised development until the sale of the game; multimedia marketing -- conducted extensive research on the current state-of-the-art in multimedia technology and the evolving multimedia market; marketed to the industry; obtained Electronic Arts as distributor.

IBM - Helped design and program a network based, client server, multimedia, multitasking, event driven, network management project.

Brignoli Financial Models -- Designed and programmed an on-line, interactive financial training program; performed research on portfolio selection with Nobel laureate, Harry Markowitz.

Image Bank -- Developed the first videodisc catalog of on-line, indexed images.

The American Film Magazine -- Founded, edited and published the magazine; sold the title to the American Film Institute.

Status Games -- Helped design and develop one of the first laserdisc computer video games to include live action video.

Movie Watch -- Worked as a production assistant and film critic on a cable TV show.

Speaking Out on Film -- Produced and directed a cable TV Show.

New Venture Capital Corporation -- Evaluated new technology business plans.
